Job Description
Wangaraufoods is a food processing and agro based company involved in traditional and modern food processing, including firewood roasted products, dried proteins, snacks, and packaged food items.
We are seeking a Quality Control Officer to oversee product quality, food safety, and hygiene across our production and packaging operations.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Inspect raw materials and ensure they meet quality and safety standards before processing.
- Monitor production processes including roasting, drying, smoking, sorting, and packaging.
- Ensure products meet required standards for taste, dryness, appearance, weight, and hygiene.
- Check finished goods before storage and dispatch.
- Enforce hygiene and cleanliness standards on the production floor.
- Prevent contamination across raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and internal quality standards.
- Maintain quality control records and reports.
- Support audits, inspections, and regulatory requirements when needed.
- Train production staff on basic hygiene and quality practices.
