Job Description
The Project Technician will be responsible for supporting the successful execution of engineering solutions, from initial client engagement and quotation through to installation and project close-out. This involves material sourcing, subcontractor coordination, logistics, site supervision, and documentation. The role is critical to ensuring project delivery meets safety regulations, quality standards, client expectations, and set timelines. The technician will work closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to manage each phase of a project.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Assist with project management, including client liaison and requirement definition
Source and procure project materials and services
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers
Plan and supervise fabrication, logistics, and on-site installations
Monitor project milestones and performance
Attend client meetings and maintain regular communication
Ensure final inspection and documentation completion
Maintain QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment) compliance
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications:
Advanced Diploma or BTEC Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
Minimum 3–4 years' experience in a technical project-related environment
Strong knowledge of steel fabrication processes (piping and structural)
Skills and Competencies:
Solid project coordination and time management skills
Technical understanding of mechanical fabrication
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Client-oriented mindset with problem-solving ability
Proficiency in technical documentation and reporting
Commitment to safety and quality standards
