The AIDS Support Organization (TASO) is an indigenous HIV and AIDS service initiative, registered in Uganda as a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO). It is a pioneer non-public actor in the HIV and AIDS response in Uganda and sub Saharan Africa. TASO is a membership organisation with over 4,000 subscriber members.
Since inception in 1987, TASO grew into a household name in the HIV and AIDS response in the country. It is now one of the largest institutions providing the most comprehensive HIV prevention, care and support services.

Key Outputs
• Administrative duties by collecting data, sorting, filing, and sending out project files to the right personnel, workers, and stakeholders is a timely done
• Records kept of all project items, and ensure that they are adequately delivered to the various project staff as directed by the Cluster Team Leader
• All logistics related to project work are processed and provided in due time
• Meetings, presentations, seminars and training effectively organized
• Meetings with the Cluster Team Leader attended, apt attention to documents paid, and relevant action taken
• Nature and condition of the project were evaluated and useful suggestions to the Cluster Team Leader made
• Staff welfare in the Cluster ensured
Ensure that all aspects of the project are duly attended to and completed at the right time, regardless of challenges that may be encountered.
Carry out administrative duties by collecting data, sorting, filing, and sending out project files to the right personnel, workers, and stakeholders.
Track project progress and ensure that all issues related to the project are clarified and completed to avoid confusion and interruption during the execution of the project.
Keep records of all project items, and ensure that they are adequately delivered to the various project staff as directed by the Cluster Team Leader.
Ensure that all logistics related to project work are processed and provided in due time to avoid interruption of project activities.
Make arrangements for meetings, presentations, seminars, and trainings being organized and calls the attention of the Cluster Team Leader to them where and when they are needed.
Attend meetings with the Cluster Team Leader/Project Director and pay apt attention throughout to get details of items discussed at the meeting and run them by the Cluster Team Leader/ Project Director when needed.
Evaluate the nature and condition of the project and make useful suggestions to the Cluster Team Leader/ Regional Project Manager on the best practices and strategies to apply in project execution.
Keep track of all project activities, and ensure that they constantly remind and intimate the Cluster Team Leader/Project Director of what needs to be done even when they have forgotten about it, in order to meet donor reporting deadlines.
Ensure that the project fleet of vehicles and motorcycles is fully serviced and fuelled as per
Ensure the security of TASO Assets and maintain an up-to-date Inventory/Asset Register.
Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Academic Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Arts, Political Science, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Human Resources Management, Business administration, Project Planning and Management, or a related field.
Additional Training
Training in Administrative Law is desired
Training in HIV/AIDS Counselling shall be an added advantage
Experience and Exposure: 2 years' experience working in an HIV/AIDS setting. The ability to communicate in local dialects and knowledge of the local area project scope is a MUST.
Key Skills
Excellent skills with Microsoft Word Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.
Ability to pay attention to detail
Good communication skills and Ability to solve problems
Ability to manage time effectively
