DKT is looking for dynamic, committed, and success-driven candidates for the position of a Programs Officer on a one year fixed contract to support the programs team, oversee, and implement DKT’s programmatic-related activities in Uganda. The Programs Officer will report to DKT Uganda’s Programs Manager.
Coordinate the implementation of DKT Uganda’s programmatic activities, including facility assessments, Quality Assurance and training needs assessments.
Implement programmatic activities aimed at advancing DKT’s goals, including healthcare provider trainings, monitoring & evaluation, and selected stakeholder engagement.
Support DKT’s monitoring and evaluation activities, specifically as they relate to partner facilities and community engagements.
Roll out the implementation of DKT Uganda’s healthcare provider training activities to ensure quality of services (including supporting the review and development of training curriculum and training materials).
Support in the development of program documents, including work plans, briefs, donor reports, monitoring & evaluation reports,
Ensure effective management of partner clinic relations and effective coordination with program partners working in these clinics to deliver and communicate results.
Manage partner facility, branding, demand generation activities and service uptake activations.
Contribute to implementation of medical detailing activities across all regions.
Effectively report, communicate and represent DKT’s core mission in key national events
Conduct regular travel in the field for oversight and implementation of program activities

Minimum 3-5 years of progressive program management experience in family planning and/or reproductive health programs in private sector or NGO.
Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in public health, Midwifery, Nursing, Health services management, project or related discipline from an accredited institution
Demonstrated success managing programmatic activities in the areas of family planning and reproductive health.
Extensive knowledge and experience in the Uganda family planning and reproductive health landscape
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of basic program planning, monitoring, and evaluation of activities
Demonstrated experience effectively managing trainings and facility-based activations donor-funded programs and partner coordination.
Excellent writing skills, ability to write concept notes and programmatic reports.
Strong command of MS Office
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A strong sense of ethics, honesty, and integrity
Enthusiasm and “can do” attitude, solution-oriented and ability to work under minimal supervision
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work in teams and bring together diverse groups of stakeholders
Passionate about family planning and reproductive health issues
Self-driven with a positive attitud
