Job Description

  • Supervise and ensure effective operation of procurement activities.

  • Review purchase requisitions to guarantee timely and budget-compliant procurement.

  • Source and evaluate suppliers/vendors based on price, quality, and reliability.

  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and prices to secure best-value procurement.

  • Monitor supplier performance, addressing issues on delivery, pricing, or quality.

  • Ensure strict compliance with internal procurement policies and laws.

  • Train, evaluate, and supervise procurement staff.

  • Collaborate with other departments to meet material and service requirements.

  • Maintain accurate purchase, pricing, and inventory records.

  • Research new products and services relevant to hotel operations.

  • Work with finance teams (Accountant, Cost Controller, Storekeeper) for cost efficiency and reporting.

  • Analyze data, prepare procurement reports, and monitor trends.

  • Assist in developing procurement strategies, policies, and procedures.

  • Maintain effective procurement record management.

  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.

  • Degree in Procurement & Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

  • Advanced Diploma in Procurement (CIPS - MCIPS UK) required.

  • Master’s degree is an added advantage.

  • Minimum 5 years’ work experience, including at least 4 years in a similar role.

  • Experience in the hospitality industry is highly desirable.

  • Membership in a professional procurement body is an added advantage.

  • Strong knowledge of the Public Procurement Act.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems (IDS, Oracle Fusion ERP).

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and reporting skills.

  • High integrity, professionalism, and strong analytical skills.

  • Ability to work long hours and adapt to hotel operational demands.
