Nilezilla Ltd is a private company limited by shares located in Yumbe District, West Nile sub-region, Uganda. Its main objective is to promote the use of locally available fruits in the production of high quality value added products for local, regional and international markets. Currently, the company has established a mango processing factory in Lodonga sub-country, Yumbe District and will start commercial production in May 2024.

  • Sourcing Suppliers: Identifying potential suppliers/vendors who can provide the required goods or services. This may involve researching, evaluating, and selecting suppliers based on factors such as quality, cost, reliability, and delivery time.

  • Supplier Relationship Management: Developing and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery, resolve issues, negotiate contracts, and secure favorable terms and pricing.

  • Request for Quotations (RFQs) and Tendering: Issuing RFQs or tenders to solicit bids from suppliers, evaluating proposals, and selecting the best offer based on criteria such as price, quality, and delivery terms.

  • Contract Negotiation and Management: Negotiating contracts with suppliers to establish terms and conditions that meet the organization's needs while minimizing risks. This includes negotiating prices, delivery schedules, payment terms, and warranties.

  • Purchase Order Processing: Creating purchase orders (POs) to formalize agreements with suppliers, ensuring accuracy in terms of quantities, specifications, and pricing. Tracking POs and managing changes or cancellations as necessary.

  • Inventory Management: Collaborating with inventory management teams to ensure optimal stock levels of goods, minimizing excess inventory and stockouts.

  • Cost Analysis and Budgeting: Analyzing procurement costs and trends to identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and budget optimization.

  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensuring compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and ethical standards. Managing risks related to supplier performance, quality issues, and supply chain disruptions.

  • Quality Assurance: Collaborating with quality control/assurance teams to ensure that purchased goods or services meet quality standards and specifications.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate procurement records, documentation, and reports. This includes documenting procurement processes, tracking expenses, and preparing reports for management review.

  • Supplier Diversity and Sustainability: Promoting supplier diversity initiatives and sustainable procurement practices, such as sourcing from minority-owned businesses or environmentally responsible suppliers.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvements in procurement practices, systems, and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • A University degree in Procurement, Business Administration (Procurement Option) and other related courses

  • Two years of experience in a similar position

  • Proven integrity in handling private resources and in executing duties

  • Computer knowledge and skills in Msword, Ms excel and other accounting software
