Job Description
The Procurement Officer is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, from sourcing to payment, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, supplier management, contract management, reporting on key procurement KPIs, and driving cost-saving initiatives. The role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to achieve organizational goals and sustain operational excellence.

Manage the complete purchase-to-pay process.
Review purchase requests, confirm needs and budget allocation, and process POs within set turnaround times (12 hours for stock items, 72 hours for non-stock items).
Expedite orders and ensure supplier adherence to quality and compliance requirements.
Analyze supplier performance to select the best value for user needs.
Participate in supplier engagement and development for consistent quality.
Maintain supplier procurement trends to monitor volume/value growth.
Drive supply optimization and harmonization initiatives.
Manage supplier relationships, performance evaluations, and foster innovation for competitive advantage.
Evaluate supplier performance against contracts and SLAs.
Generate monthly procurement KPI reports and supplier performance reports.
Deliver savings by ensuring PO pricing matches contracted rates.
Ensure all sourcing is within allocated budgets.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supplies Management, or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Understanding of INCO TERMS.
Good knowledge of supply chain and inventory management systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
Familiarity with supply chain software and tender procedures.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant procurement experience.
Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Demonstrated integrity and commitment to compliance and new supply chain values.
