Job Description
The CO₂ Plant In-Charge / Process Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation, maintenance, and performance monitoring of CO₂ recovery systems. The role ensures optimal plant efficiency, gas purity, equipment reliability, and compliance with GMP and safety standards. The position involves troubleshooting mechanical and process issues, supervising junior operators, maintaining production records, and supporting plant commissioning and expansion projects. This is a key leadership role within a modern industrial manufacturing environment committed to sustainable production practices.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee operation, maintenance, and monitoring of CO₂ recovery systems for optimal performance and gas production.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on compressors, dryers, scrubbers, and auxiliary equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and process-related issues to minimize downtime.
- Conduct CO₂ purity analysis and adjust system parameters for quality control.
- Record production data, maintenance activities, and shift reports in compliance with cGMP and company SOPs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and GMP-compliant work environment.
- Train and mentor junior operators in equipment handling, troubleshooting, and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments during plant startups, shutdowns, and emergency operations.
- Interpret process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Participate in project execution, including plant commissioning and installation of new equipment.
