Strategic Procurement Planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. This includes forecasting procurement needs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and optimizing supply chain processes.
Policy Development and Implementation: Develop and enforce procurement policies, procedures, and guidelines in compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards. Ensure transparency, fairness, and integrity in the procurement process.
Vendor Management: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts and terms, and establish vendor relationships. Monitor vendor performance, resolve disputes, and address issues to ensure compliance with contract terms and service level agreements.
Sourcing and Contracting: Lead sourcing initiatives to identify potential suppliers, solicit bids and proposals, evaluate vendor proposals, and award contracts. Develop contract terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery terms, and quality standards.
Bid Management: Manage the bidding process for procurement opportunities, including drafting bid documents, evaluating bids, and selecting qualified suppliers. Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and ethical standards.
Procurement Operations: Oversee day-to-day procurement operations, including purchase requisition processing, purchase order issuance, and invoice verification. Ensure timely and accurate processing of procurement transactions.
Supplier Diversity and Sustainability: Promote supplier diversity and sustainability initiatives by identifying opportunities to engage diverse suppliers and incorporate sustainability criteria into procurement decisions.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate procurement risks, such as supply chain disruptions, vendor failures, and contract disputes. Develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies to minimize risk exposure.
Compliance and Ethics: Ensure compliance with procurement laws, regulations, and policies. Uphold ethical standards in procurement practices, including avoiding conflicts of interest, bribery, and unethical behavior.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor procurement performance metrics, such as cost savings, supplier performance, and procurement cycle times. Generate reports and analytics to track procurement outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
Training and Capacity Building: Provide training and guidance to staff involved in procurement activities to ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures. Build procurement capacity within the organization through training initiatives and knowledge sharing.
