Education: A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is typically required for Principal Engineer positions. Advanced degrees (e.g., master's or doctoral degree) in engineering or a relevant discipline may be preferred for senior-level roles.
Professional Licensure: Professional licensure as a registered Professional Engineer (PE) is often required for Principal Engineer positions, demonstrating competency, expertise, and adherence to ethical standards and professional practices in engineering.
