Job Description
Reporting to the Provost, College of Education, the Principal will: lead academic direction and governance; oversee financial, human, and material resources; ensure delivery of approved programmes; drive quality teaching, learning, and research; promote collegiality and good order; strengthen partnerships with internal and external stakeholders; attract research funding; and implement initiatives that expand access (including adult, continuing, and distance education) consistent with the University’s Strategic Plan (2024–2029).

How to Apply
Serve as academic and administrative head of the Campus.
Ensure implementation of approved programmes, policies, and decisions of Council/Academic Board.
Provide leadership to increase student enrolment and enhance academic quality.
Oversee administration of human, financial, and material resources.

Promote research capacity, external partnerships, and resource mobilisation (grants/funds).

Professorial status from an academic/research institution or a senior industry leader eligible for professorial appointment.
PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
Proven academic leadership in teaching, research, and extension.
Minimum 10 years progressive experience in teaching/research, with 5+ years in senior management/leadership.
Demonstrated ability to attract research and development funding.
Excellent managerial, administrative, communication, interpersonal, and crisis-management skills.
Visionary leadership with the ability to motivate staff and manage resources effectively.
Strong knowledge of Ghana’s higher education landscape and goals.
Terms of Appointment
Must be ≤55 years at time of application.
Tenure: Three (3) years, renewable once for up to three (3) additional years, subject to performance and statutory retirement age (60 years).
Salary/Benefits: Attractive, with market premium, rent, security and responsibility allowances.
