How to Apply
Operate CTP (Computer-to-Plate) systems or traditional plate-making equipment to create printing plates.
Prepare and inspect digital files for plate imaging, ensuring proper resolution, color separations, and layout.
Verify output specifications (bleeds, crop marks, registration marks) according to job tickets.
Ensure proper alignment and calibration of plates to match printing press requirements.
Perform quality control checks on plates to detect defects such as scratches, pinholes, or improper exposures.
Maintain and clean plate-making equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance.
Monitor inventory of plate materials and request supplies as needed.
Follow all safety protocols and company procedures related to prepress and chemical handling (if applicable).
Collaborate with prepress technicians, designers, and press operators to ensure production accuracy and efficiency.

Residency status: Preferably Ugandan National
Qualification: Certificate or Diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in printing is a plus
Linguistic skills: Fluent in English (Spoken & Written)
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a plate-making role (offset, flexo, or digital printing).
Age: Below 30 Years
Remuneration: Salary is market competitive & negotiable.
Key Skills:
Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
Familiarity with prepress workflows, file formats.
Knowledge of printing processes (offset, flexographic, digital) and color separation.
Ability to read and interpret job tickets, layouts, and specifications.
Basic computer skills and understanding of production software tools.
