Cash Management:
Manage the petty cash fund, ensuring there are sufficient funds available for daily operations.
Disburse petty cash for authorized expenses and ensure proper documentation.
Record-Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of all petty cash transactions, including receipts and vouchers.
Record transactions in the petty cash ledger or accounting software.
Reconciliation:
Regularly reconcile the petty cash fund to ensure that the cash on hand matches the recorded amounts.
Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Reporting:
Prepare periodic reports on petty cash usage and balances for management review.
Assist in preparing financial reports by providing necessary petty cash information.
Policy Compliance:
Ensure that all petty cash transactions comply with the organization's policies and procedures.
Monitor and enforce adherence to petty cash limits and authorization protocols.
Request Processing:
Review and process petty cash reimbursement requests, ensuring they are properly authorized and supported by receipts.
Ensure that all requests are legitimate and fall within the approved petty cash guidelines.
Cash Replenishment:
Request replenishments of the petty cash fund as needed to maintain operational liquidity.
Ensure proper documentation and approval for replenishments.
Audit Preparation:
Assist with internal and external audits by providing requested petty cash records and documentation.
Implement audit recommendations to improve petty cash management.

Educational Qualifications:
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Additional qualifications in accounting, finance, or business administration are advantageous.
Experience:
Prior experience in cash handling, bookkeeping, or a related field is preferred.
Experience in an administrative or accounting role is beneficial.
Skills:
Proficiency in basic accounting principles and practices.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Personal Attributes:
High level of integrity and honesty.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge:
Understanding of petty cash management procedures and best practices.
Familiarity with financial policies and internal controls related to cash handling.
Additional Requirements:
Trustworthiness, as the role involves handling cash and sensitive financial information.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
