Job Description
Our client in Mombasa is looking for a compassionate and committed Personal Caregiver to provide individualized care and daily support to a child with special needs. The role centers on enhancing the child's overall wellbeing, comfort, and development through assistance with daily routines, mobility, communication, and social engagement. This opportunity is best suited for someone who is genuinely passionate about positively impacting a child's life.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide consistent, attentive care and supervision
- Assist with daily activities such as feeding, personal hygiene, and toileting
- Support safe movement, positioning, and physical comfort
- Facilitate effective communication of the child's needs and emotions
- Encourage independence and development of essential life skills
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment
- Promote emotional, social, and behavioral growth through supportive interaction
- Collaborate closely with parents or guardians to ensure continuity of care
- Accompany the child to therapy sessions, medical appointments, or other activities as needed
- Observe and report on progress, behavior, and any emerging concerns
- Properly use assistive tools or equipment when required
- Help manage transitions and maintain structured daily routines
