Job Description
The Payments Approver will be responsible for final payment approvals, resolving discrepancies, monitoring and minimizing payment errors, liaising with banks and mobile service providers, leading improvement projects, and contributing to customer service enhancements. The individual will work closely with the payment team and report to the country lead. This role is based in Kigali with occasional hybrid work options.

How to Apply
Final review and approval of uploaded payments on mobile money and bank platforms
Collaborate with administrators and reviewers to resolve discrepancies
Track and report payment processing errors and coordinate team upskilling
Liaise with banks and mobile money providers to resolve system and transaction issues
Lead and manage sub-projects to improve payment systems
Implement and maintain high standards of customer service
Work with other country approvers to drive continuous improvements
Monitor team performance via KPIs
Coordinate and allocate payment processing tasks to meet service level agreements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in finance, accounting, or banking roles
Proven people management experience
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (formulas and functions)
Strong project management skills
Familiarity with ERP platforms
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Must be a citizen or permanent resident of Rwanda
