The Patient Safety Specialist is responsible for collecting, processing, evaluating, and reporting adverse events and other safety-related information in compliance with regulatory requirements and Novartis standard operating procedures.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Collect, process, and evaluate adverse event reports from various sources including healthcare professionals, patients, and clinical trials
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) to regulatory authorities
  • Maintain product safety databases and ensure data quality and completeness
  • Support signal detection and risk management activities
  • Collaborate with medical, regulatory, and commercial teams to ensure patient safety compliance
  • Provide training and guidance on pharmacovigilance requirements to internal stakeholders
  • Support preparation of periodic safety reports and other regulatory submissions
