As a Pastry Chef, you’ll be a skilled professional responsible for preparing a wide variety of delicious desserts, pastries, and sweet goods. Your creativity will shine as you create new and enticing recipes, decorate pastries to ensure beautiful presentation, and maintain the quality of ingredients and equipment. If you have a passion for culinary arts and a sweet tooth, this role is perfect for you.
In this role, your duties will include:
Baking and Pastry Preparation:
Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread, and other sweet treats following traditional and modern recipes.
Create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers.
Decorating and Presentation:
Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings, and techniques to ensure beautiful and exciting presentation.
Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar, etc., and make appropriate orders within budget.
Quality Control and Safety:
Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
Ensure the condition of equipment and devices used for cooking.
Team Leadership and Motivation:
Guide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new pastry recipes and menu items.
To excel in this role, you should have:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the restaurant industry.
Culinary Expertise: Proficiency in baking and pastry techniques.
Creativity: A knack for developing new and exciting dessert recipes.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring consistency and quality in every pastry.
