Job Description
This role involves creating measurement programs using customer-supplied data and converting this into usable CMM measuring programs for DEA and GOM measuring machines. The Metrologist will perform dimensional inspections such as ISIRs, capability studies, product audits, and FMKs. Additionally, the role includes calibration of measurement instruments and ensuring compliance with company safety, health, and environmental (SHE) procedures.

How to Apply
Create and execute measuring programs from customer data (MESS-PLAN)
Convert data for use with CMM measuring machines (DEA and GOM)
Perform dimensional control and reporting on parts

Minimum Qualifications:
Grade 12 (Matric)
National Diploma in Metrology or Mechanical Engineering
Toolmaker trade certificate
Certificate in Metrology
Experience:
Extensive toolmaking experience in the automotive industry
Minimum 2 years of experience using 3D software (PC-DMIS & GOM)
Minimum 2 years of hands-on metrology experience
Skills and Competencies:
Strong understanding of quality systems and measuring equipment
Proficiency in PC-DMIS and GOM 3D software
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong planning, organization, and decision-making abilities
Proactive mindset with attention to detail
