Job Description
Reporting to the Medical Supervisor, the Medical Doctor will lead and support mobile clinic activities, focusing on delivering high-quality curative consultations. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating illnesses, providing emergency care, managing outpatient therapeutic programs (OTP) for malnourished children, ensuring medical record accuracy, and contributing to epidemiological reporting and health education in line with MdM protocols.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Prepare and ensure all necessary materials, drugs, and equipment are available before clinic deployment.
Conduct triage and provide medical consultations following hygiene and treatment protocols.
Take comprehensive patient histories and perform physical examinations.
Diagnose and treat diseases according to MdM and standard clinical guidelines.
Provide emergency treatment and referrals when necessary.
Educate patients about their conditions and treatments.
Manage and follow up on malnourished children enrolled in the OTP program.
Ensure accurate documentation and completion of morbidity surveillance forms.
Collect, analyze, and input weekly epidemiological data.
Attend medical team meetings and contribute to regular reporting activities.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine (MBBS, MBChB) from a recognized institution.
Postgraduate qualifications (optional but an added advantage).
3–4 years of experience in clinical practice or humanitarian health programs.
Proven experience in curative health consultation and emergency response.
Familiarity with malnutrition management (especially OTP) is an asset.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in remote locations and under pressure.
Good computer literacy for data reporting and analysis.
Fluency in English and Hausa is an advantage.
