Job Description
The successful candidate will champion digital and community-based marketing efforts, build brand awareness, and drive customer acquisition across various channels including social media, influencer partnerships, SEO, paid ads, and content creation. Responsibilities include creating relatable local content, leading campaigns, analyzing performance metrics, managing marketing budgets, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure marketing efforts support business objectives. The role also includes organizing community events, fostering customer trust, and keeping the brand in tune with emerging digital and cultural trends in Kenya.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and implement marketing strategies tailored to the Kenyan market
Create engaging local content for digital platforms and campaigns
Lead social media, influencer partnerships, paid advertising, and SEO/SEM activities
Analyze marketing data and optimize campaigns for growth and ROI
Collaborate with internal teams to align marketing with business goals
Organize and participate in community activations and events
Monitor digital and cultural trends to maintain brand relevance
Manage and track marketing budgets and spending efficiency
Build strong customer engagement and support brand trust
Develop and maintain creative marketing portfolios and campaign documentation
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Academic Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
Experience
2–3 years’ experience in digital marketing, preferably within fintech, financial services, or consumer brands
Proven success in online brand growth and conversion campaigns
Technical & Soft Skills
Proficient in digital platforms and tools (Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO/SEM, Analytics)
Strong creative and strategic skills
Excellent communication skills — English, Swahili, and comfortable with Sheng
Knowledge of Kenyan culture, trends, and digital behavior
Strong analytical and performance-tracking skills
Experience managing agencies or digital teams is an added advantage
