Established in 2014 and operational since 2016, ASA Rwanda provides financial services to small business owners across 37 branches in the country. Job Description
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Marketing, Communication, and Sustainability Manager will oversee the institution’s marketing, branding, public relations, and sustainability efforts. The position requires a dynamic professional capable of designing innovative communication strategies, managing digital platforms, implementing sustainability and CSR programs, and ensuring brand consistency across all branches and communication channels. The ideal candidate will also engage stakeholders, including regulators, funders, and community leaders, to enhance ASA Rwanda’s visibility and impact.

How to Apply
A. Strategic Marketing, Branding & Communication
Develop and implement marketing, communication, and branding strategies in line with the organization’s mission and Group standards.
Position ASA Rwanda as a leading and trusted microfinance provider.
Ensure consistent messaging and brand identity across all communication channels.
Manage media relations, press releases, speeches, and crisis communication.
Produce compelling content for newsletters, social media, and reports showcasing client impact.
Organize community outreach programs, corporate events, and webinars to enhance brand visibility.
Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, partners, and media outlets.
B. Sustainability Planning, Implementation & Monitoring
Develop and execute annual sustainability targets aligned with ASA Group’s strategy.
Design and monitor CSR, environmental, and social impact programs.
Ensure compliance with sustainability standards including ESG, ESMS, and Client Protection Principles.
Collaborate with NGOs, regulators, and partners to promote sustainability initiatives.
C. Digital Marketing & Business Development Support
Lead digital marketing efforts, including SEO/SEM, social media, and online campaigns.
Track and analyze digital engagement performance.
Support product and business development through targeted marketing campaigns.
Develop pitch decks, investor materials, and impact reports.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Social/Environmental Sciences, or a related field. (Master’s degree preferred.)
Experience: 5–8 years in marketing, communications, sustainability, or branding, preferably in financial services or social enterprise.
Knowledge & Skills:
Strong understanding of brand communication, stakeholder engagement, and digital marketing.
Proven experience in sustainability, ESG, and impact reporting.
Excellent leadership, project management, and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in digital marketing tools, CRM systems, and MS Office Suite.
Other Requirements:
Must be Rwandan by nationality.
Willing to travel and work anywhere ASA Rwanda operates.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
