Job Description
Based in Kigali, the Managing Director will lead Wilderness Rwanda with a focus on expanding its presence, optimizing business performance, and enhancing its conservation and community impact. This senior leadership role requires balancing business strategy with environmental and social priorities, fostering innovation, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest experiences. The Managing Director will report directly to the executive team and is expected to drive long-term success through efficient processes, robust stakeholder relationships, and adaptive leadership.

Lead the strategic direction and growth of Wilderness Rwanda
Champion the brand's conservation and hospitality values across all touchpoints

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Conservation, or related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage)
10–15 years’ experience in safari and hospitality operations within the private sector
At least 10 years in a senior leadership role managing large teams and operations
Deep understanding of eco-tourism, conservation, and community engagement
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and strategic planning skills
Proven ability to lead complex projects in remote and dynamic environments
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
Passion for African wilderness, culture, and conservation
