Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the inspection of all production machines and equipment, performing planned preventive and corrective maintenance. The role ensures that breakdowns on machines are fixed in a timely manner to maintain production efficiency.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Start up for all production machines and equipment before the start of production
- Inspection of all production machines and equipment for any physical damage
- Carry out both preventive and corrective maintenance on all scheduled production equipment and machines
- Submit a daily preventive maintenance report to the supervisor for closeout
- Training and coaching of machine operators on the correct use of machines
- Ensure breakdowns on machines are fixed in a timely manner
- Ensure to request all spare parts required for maintenance work on time
- Submit monthly reports on all maintenance work in the production facilities
- Submit weekly reports on the state of the Production machines
- Adherence to health and safety protocols during maintenance works
- Adherence to food safety protocols during maintenance work
- Submit quarterly reports on process improvements in the production facilities
