Maintenance Controller Job at Nile Breweries

Job Description
Nile Breweries is looking for a Maintenance Controller to coordinate, train, coach and control activities within the E&F section. The role involves providing specialist technical advice to ensure maximum equipment availability through the use of VPO principles in both production and maintenance environments.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Maintain a Safe and Healthy Working Environment
- Development and periodic review of risk assessments (HIRA, PHA, JHA)
- Complying to safety requirement on operation of equipment (SOPs, SWI signed off)
- Maintain safety and housekeeping standards
- Ensures a Reliable Plant is Achieved Through the Maintenance, Calibration, Repair of Equipment and Optimization of Plant and Associated Devices
- Locate plant, equipment, spares and relevant documentation / systems
- Plan and prepare the job
- Maintenance of equipment on electrical and instrumentation discipline
- Development of Maintenance Programs for new equipment, review of maintenance programs for the existing equipment
- Continuously improve (optimize) plant, process equipment and systems
- Calibrate instruments
- Work in Teams
- Communicate effectively in teams
- Contribute to self and team development
- New ideas generation (own ideas and team ideas implemented)
- All work is carried out using the VPO principles (All VPO pillars implemented)
- Development and periodic review of risk assessments (HIRA, PHA, JHA)
