Job Description
The Machine Setter will oversee the proper functioning and optimization of Extrusion Blow Moulding (EBM) machines. They will ensure that quality products are produced consistently, machines are well-maintained, and operational risks are reported and mitigated. The role includes availability checks on raw materials, performing minor equipment repairs, supervising machine cleanliness, and supporting training initiatives for machine operators. The setter will also be expected to uphold all safety, environmental, and food safety standards in production environments.

How to Apply
Ensure all assigned machines operate safely and efficiently per guidelines
Maintain consistent product quality output
Optimize machine processes for maximum productivity
Verify availability and quality of raw materials before use
Monitor, record, and report issues for shifts not worked
Conduct minor repairs on moulding machines
Assist the Production Manager with operator training programs
Ensure cleanliness and functionality of assigned machinery and tools
Report all risks relating to quality and food safety management (where applicable)
Promote ongoing awareness of quality, food safety, environmental, and HSE practices

Minimum Qualifications:
Matric / Grade 12
Technical qualification in plastic processing or related field
Experience and Skills:
Proven experience in Extrusion Blow Moulding (EBM)
Background in toolmaking, mechanical, or electrical/electronic systems
Team player with the ability to train technical staff
Strong time management and planning skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Flexible work availability
Effective communicator in both local language and English
