Job Description
The Logistics Manager will be responsible for managing the coordination of shipments with overseas sellers and local warehouse teams, ensuring SLA compliance and optimal customer satisfaction. The role entails documentation management, collaboration with internal teams (Finance, IT, Marketing, Customer Experience), continuous process improvement, and stakeholder engagement to streamline global supply chain operations. This is a cross-functional role with exposure to international logistics and e-commerce fulfillment.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Collaborate with logistics providers to ensure seamless delivery from seller origin to warehouse
Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documentation
Work with warehouse teams to minimize delivery lead times
Liaise with Finance to process logistics invoices and payments
Enhance customer experience through improved delivery and packaging standards
Coordinate with Customer Experience team to resolve customer requests related to Jumia Global
Manage all in-country stakeholders (Content, Onsite, IT, Finance, CS, Logistics, Marketing)
Coordinate with central Jumia Global operations teams on commercial and operational matters
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, operations, or vendor management, preferably in logistics or transportation
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional and global projects
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
Independent, self-driven, with leadership qualities
