Locum Data Clerks job at The AIDS Support Organization (TASO Uganda)

The AIDS Support Organization (TASO Uganda)

To manage and maintain project data in a timely and accurate manner. This includes entering data into databases, verifying data accuracy, and security. The Data Clerk will also assist in generating reports and providing data-related support to project staff as needed.

  • Enter data into databases accurately and efficiently.

  • Verify data for completeness and accuracy.

  • Maintain organized records of data sources and data entry activities.

  • Generate routine reports and summaries as required.

  • Assist in data cleaning and validation processes.

  • Ensure compliance with data management protocols and procedures.

  • Collaborate with team members to address data-related issues.

  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive data.

  • Any other duties and may be assigned by the supervisor

  • Minimum Academic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Biostatistics or a related field.


Additional Training

  • Post graduate training in data entry and management procedures.

  • Familiarity with relevant data management software.

  • Proficiency in computer applications, especially data entry software.


Minimum Experience and Exposure:

  • Prior experience in data entry or clerical work preferred, knowledge AND prior experience working with indicators in PMTCT or HIV programming.

Key Skills:

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, proficiency in using computer software and databases, strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks, effective communication and teamwork skills.


Other Qualities/Attributes:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, capacity to handle confidential information with discretion, adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines, commitment to maintaining data quality and integrity, fluent in Luo and Ateso languages, Motorcycle riding skills and a valid riding license
