Job Description
The role is responsible for establishing systems and processes that support continuous learning, reflective practice, and data-driven decision-making. This includes designing learning frameworks, facilitating staff and partner training, managing knowledge-sharing platforms, and creating tools and storytelling mechanisms to capture and disseminate insights. The Specialist will promote inclusive participation, encourage innovation, and ensure learning informs strategic and program planning across CBM’s Tanzania Country Office and partner programs.
Key elements of the role include facilitating learning events, synthesizing field insights, supporting adaptive management, strengthening partner capacity, and ensuring learning contributes to improved outcomes for persons with disabilities and vulnerable communities.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Lead development and implementation of learning frameworks and systems
Facilitate reflective learning processes and adaptive program management
Build capacity of staff and partners in learning and evidence utilization
Develop and maintain knowledge-sharing platforms and tools
Collect, analyze, and synthesize program insights and best practices
Promote storytelling and documentation of program lessons and successes
Drive organizational learning to inform strategy and decision-making
Encourage inclusive participation in learning processes
Ensure learning is integrated into program review and planning cycles
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Social Sciences, International Development, Monitoring & Evaluation, Development Studies, or a related field
Experience
Minimum 1 year experience in a learning, M&E, knowledge management, or program support role (experience in disability-inclusive programming is an advantage)
Competencies
Strong facilitation, coaching and capacity-building skills
Ability to synthesize information and communicate learning effectively
Proficiency in developing learning products and knowledge-sharing tools
Strong storytelling and documentation skills
Ability to integrate learning into program decision-making processes
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Commitment to disability inclusion, participation, and Christian values
