Job Description
Candidates must be able to perform scientific tests on samples, analyzing data, and communicating results to other professionals. In addition, candidatesnus must be prepared to back up data for tye purpose of quality improvement audit:
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Analyzing samples: Laboratory scientists analyze biological samples, such as tissue, bodily fluids, and blood, using scientific instruments and technology.
- Recording data: Laboratory scientists record data to identify normal or abnormal findings.
- Communicating results: Laboratory scientists communicate results to other professionals, such as physicians, to assist in diagnosis and treatment.
- Maintaining equipment: Laboratory scientists calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Following safety rules: Laboratory scientists follow safety rules.
- Setting up experiments and investigations
- Preparing solutions, cultures, and specimens
- Collecting and presenting data and statistics
