Job Description
The consultant will oversee the full development cycle of a UNCT knowledge management and data-sharing platform. This role involves creating systems and workflows that improve the storage, retrieval, and dissemination of key UN analytical outputs, reports, and policy resources. The consultant will collaborate with multiple UN agencies, government stakeholders, and partners to ensure that the platform meets the operational, technical, and strategic needs of the UN system in Rwanda.
Additionally, the consultant will contribute to strengthening the UN’s capacity for evidence-based decision-making and reporting on its contributions to national and global development goals. The position requires strong technical skills in data analytics and visualization (particularly in Power BI), as well as familiarity with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and UN processes.

How to Apply
Lead the design, development, and initial roll-out of the UNCT knowledge management platform.
Establish the platform as a centralized repository for UNCT knowledge products, reports, and strategic documents.
Ensure systematic archiving, transparency, and accessibility of UN resources and analytical outputs.
Develop workflows for document management, publication, and reporting to streamline UNCT operations.
Support evidence-based decision-making and policy dialogue with government and development partners.
Enhance the visibility and communication of the UN’s collective contributions to Rwanda’s development priorities.
Provide data visualization and analytics support using Power BI and related tools.
Train staff and partners on the use of the platform to ensure sustainability and effective knowledge sharing.
Produce progress reports and recommendations for continuous platform improvement.
Perform any other duties assigned by the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office or UNCT leadership.
Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
A Master’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in data analytics, data management, or SDG data analysis.
Proven experience in Power BI dashboard design and data visualization.
Demonstrated expertise in database management, MS Office applications, and data cleaning.
Familiarity with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the UN system is highly desirable.
