Job Description
The IT Data Center Operator will be responsible for delivering technical support to internal users, managing hardware and software installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting. Under the supervision of the Senior IT Data Center Operator, the individual will also provide assistance in network administration, system maintenance, backups, and recovery processes. This role requires proficiency in computer networking, system diagnostics, Windows operating systems, cloud services, and IT inventory management.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Provide technical support via telephone and in-person to internal users
Address and resolve issues related to system installation, operation, configuration, and usability
Administer and maintain IT hardware/software systems including servers, desktops, printers, and storage devices
Install and upgrade data systems and software
Maintain backup, recovery, and basic security procedures
Support structured network cabling, testing, and troubleshooting
Generate ad hoc data analysis and IT inventory reports
Assist in the installation and maintenance of LAN systems
Perform additional duties as assigned in line with contractual and functional requirements
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields
Experience
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in an IT environment with help desk or technical support responsibilities
Key Competencies
Knowledge of computer networking and structured cabling
Experience in troubleshooting IT hardware/software and LAN systems
Familiarity with Windows Server, desktop OS, and email services
Skills in data analysis and report generation
Strong customer service orientation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Experience with IT asset and inventory management
Ability to communicate clearly in English, both written and verbal
Valid driver’s license
Must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health
Certifications (Highly Desired)
IT-related certifications in networking, system administration, or support

📌 Additional Requirements
