Technical Support:
Provide first-level support for hardware and software issues to end users.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to computers, printers, networks, and other IT equipment.
Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
System Maintenance:
Perform regular system updates and patches.
Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
Ensure that antivirus and security software are up-to-date and functioning properly.
User Assistance:
Respond to and manage helpdesk tickets in a timely manner.
Provide support to users via phone, email, or in-person.
Assist with onboarding new employees, including setting up accounts and providing training on IT systems.
Network Support:
Assist in setting up and maintaining network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
Help ensure network security and performance.
Data Management:
Assist with data backup and recovery processes.
Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
Support database management and data integrity.
Hardware Management:
Manage inventory of IT hardware and software.
Set up and configure new devices such as computers, printers, and mobile devices.
Coordinate repairs and replacements of faulty equipment.
Security:
Implement and follow IT security policies and procedures.
Assist in the enforcement of security measures to protect data and systems.
Educate users on safe computing practices.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other IT team members and departments to resolve issues and implement projects.
Assist in various IT projects, including upgrades and migrations.
Participate in meetings and provide input on IT-related decisions.
Education:
An associate degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are advantageous.
Experience:
Previous experience in an IT support or helpdesk role is preferred.
Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
Familiarity with common office software, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
Basic understanding of networking principles and protocols.
Proficiency in using helpdesk ticketing systems.
Technical Abilities:
Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
Understanding of system administration and basic scripting.
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
Personal Attributes:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
High level of reliability and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move computer equipment.
Comfortable working in various environments, including potentially confined spaces (e.g., server rooms).
