Job Description
The Investment Associate will be responsible for supporting pan-African infrastructure investments. Duties include building and reviewing financial models, conducting risk and company analysis, preparing investment proposals, and assisting with deal execution. The candidate will also engage in asset performance tracking, investor reporting, and internal process enhancements, and contribute to business development initiatives.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Review financial statements and perform valuations
Build and interpret advanced financial models (incl. VBA)
Conduct market, company, and risk analysis
Support transaction due diligence and coordinate advisors
Assist in negotiating transaction and project documents
Draft investment papers and compile bid submissions
Monitor asset performance and support value creation
Prepare financial reports and ensure compliance with policy
Participate in identifying new investment opportunities
Provide specialist advice and manage internal relationships
Undertake site visits and short- to medium-term assignments across Africa

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Honours Degree in Finance or equivalent
Experience:
3–6 years in Investment Banking (M&A, corporate/project finance), Private Equity, or “Big Four” consulting
Infrastructure investment experience (energy, logistics, digital) is a plus
Skills and Competencies:
Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills
Strong business judgment and attention to detail
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Strong verbal and written communication skills (French/Arabic advantageous)
Commercial orientation and project management abilities
Risk modeling, data analysis, and investment forecasting
Ability to mentor junior analysts
