Job Description

This internship provides hands-on experience in financial data management, reporting, and monitoring. The intern will assist in streamlining staff and office cost data, maintaining databases for country expenditures, financial authorizations (FAs), purchase orders (POs), and payment schedules. Additionally, the intern will help develop presentation materials for training purposes and perform other duties as assigned to support the Finance and Programme Management team.

How to Apply

  • Support data collection and analysis for countries in the Regional Office for Africa (ROAf).

  • Update the country information database bi-weekly with project portfolio and grant data.

  • Streamline staff information, office, and common cost reporting data.

  • Establish and maintain databases for recording Approvals of Commitments (AoCs), payment schedules, and alerts for pending payments or reports.

  • Assist in developing a system to monitor country expenditures, FAs, and POs.

  • Support the preparation of PowerPoint training materials.

  • Undertake other duties as assigned by the Programme Management Officer (PMO) or Programme Management Assistant (PMA).

  • Enrolled in or recently graduated from a university program (Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD) in finance, accounting, data management, or related field.

  • Ability to work with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • Preferred: Knowledge or coursework in finance, accounting, or data analysis.
