HOPE SHARING FAMILYASSOCIATION (HOSFA) - is a not-for-profit organization established in 1993 with a mission of contributing to a process where the deprived have access to basic human needs and promote self sustenance. It mainly operates in Mityana District with its Headquarters in Mityana Municipality. It provides Health services at St. Francis Community Health Center IV - Mityana Town, Skills Training at St.Thereza Vocational Training Institute- Zigoti, and secondary Education at St Thereza Secondary School-Zigoti. HOSFA is seeking to recruit dynamic, self-motivated, result oriented professionals to fill the position below on a full time basis at St.Thereza Vocational Training Institute- Zigoti.
Curriculum Development: Develop and design instructional materials, lesson plans, and course syllabi for metal fabrication programs or courses. Align curriculum with industry standards, best practices, and emerging trends in the field.
Classroom Instruction: Deliver lectures, presentations, and hands-on demonstrations to teach students various aspects of metal fabrication, including welding techniques, metal cutting, forming, and joining methods. Use multimedia resources, visual aids, and real-world examples to enhance learning.
Practical Training: Provide hands-on training and supervision in metal fabrication workshops or laboratories. Demonstrate proper equipment use, safety procedures, and quality standards. Offer guidance and feedback to help students develop technical skills and proficiency.
Skill Assessment: Assess student learning and performance through practical assignments, projects, quizzes, and exams. Evaluate student progress based on established criteria and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, protocols, and industry standards in metal fabrication environments. Emphasize the importance of safe work practices, personal protective equipment (PPE), and risk mitigation strategies.
Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and oversee the maintenance of metal fabrication equipment, tools, and machinery. Conduct routine inspections, repairs, and calibration to ensure equipment functionality and safety.
Industry Collaboration: Foster partnerships with industry professionals, employers, and trade organizations to stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and job market demands. Facilitate guest lectures, site visits, and internships for students to gain real-world experience.
Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development activities to enhance teaching effectiveness, subject matter expertise, and instructional strategies. Attend conferences, workshops, and training sessions relevant to metal fabrication education.
Student Support: Provide academic advising, mentoring, and career guidance to students pursuing careers in metal fabrication. Assist students with academic challenges, career exploration, job placement, and industry certifications.
Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative duties related to course scheduling, student enrollment, record-keeping, and program assessment. Collaborate with departmental colleagues and administrative staff to ensure efficient program operations.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in program reviews, assessments, and accreditation processes to maintain program quality and effectiveness. Identify areas for program improvement and implement enhancements based on student feedback and industry needs.
Community Engagement: Promote metal fabrication education and training opportunities within the local community, industry associations, and educational institutions. Participate in outreach activities, recruitment events, and marketing initiatives to attract prospective students and stakeholders.
