Job Summary:
DFCU Bank is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Infrastructure Administrator to manage and support the Bank’s server infrastructure—both on-premises and cloud-based. Reporting to the Cloud Infrastructure Services Manager, the role focuses on maintaining high availability, performance, and security of the infrastructure systems, ensuring seamless operations across varied operating environments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the deployment, optimization, and maintenance of data center equipment, server systems, and WAN infrastructure, while also contributing to the strategic development of secure, resilient IT environments.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure high availability and meet uptime requirements for all infrastructure services.
Provide advisory support and oversee the controlled deployment of new infrastructure technologies.
Implement and maintain robust infrastructure maintenance routines in line with industry best practices.
Support data security across storage, transmission, and processing environments.
Provide operational support, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis for recurring infrastructure issues.
Perform infrastructure capacity planning and management to ensure future scalability.
Build and maintain reliable, resilient, and secure infrastructure systems.
Perform regular patching and upgrading of all IT infrastructure components, in compliance with Bank policy.
Collaborate with and respond to audit teams and provide timely resolution to audit findings.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of system configurations, procedures, and infrastructure changes.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline from a reputable institution.
Certifications in any of the following areas are highly desirable: UNIX, Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle Systems, VMware, Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS, Azure, or ITIL Foundation.
3–5 years of hands-on experience in managing enterprise infrastructure systems within medium to large-scale organizations.
Experience with enterprise-grade storage and backup technologies.
Proficiency with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, etc.
Solid understanding of ICT infrastructure management and control frameworks.
Broad technical knowledge in operating systems, networking, databases, hardware, and systems integration.
Hands-on experience with Internet and IP technologies, including network devices like routers, switches, hubs, and firewalls.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset.
A collaborative team player, adaptable to various work environments, and resilient under pressure.
Willingness to share knowledge and support organizational learning.
Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and make effective decisions.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and accountability.
