Job Description
The Import and Export Officer will be responsible for overseeing and executing day-to-day import/export operations in compliance with applicable laws and company policies. This role involves preparing and reviewing documentation, analyzing import costs, coordinating with internal departments, and monitoring third-party agents and customs authorities to ensure seamless logistics. The officer will also generate reports to track operational performance and propose process improvements in cost efficiency and compliance.

Ensure all import documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with relevant regulations
Monitor and support compliance with government import/export and trade agreement regulations
Liaise with agents, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders to ensure conformance with global trade standards
Analyze and verify import-related costs such as freight, insurance, and duties
Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and finance teams for smooth operations
Identify process improvement opportunities in cost settlement and compliance
Generate dashboards and reports to monitor performance and cost metrics
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
Experience:
Minimum 2 years in logistics, freight forwarding, customs clearance, or a similar role
Competencies and Skills:
Knowledge of import/export regulations and customs compliance
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented and highly organized
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Innovative and solution-oriented mindset
Fluency in French or Portuguese is an added advantage
