Job Title: ICT Support Officer
Organization: VisionFund Uganda Limited
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Reports to: Head of IT
Job Summary: The ICT Support Officer will provide user support on company supported computer applications and platforms, troubleshoot problems and advise on appropriate action.
Provide first-line support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals.
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
Install, configure, and update software applications used in the banking environment.
Collaborate with other IT team members to implement system upgrades and improvements.
Ensure the security and integrity of IT systems by implementing and enforcing best practices.
Assist in the management of user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
Respond to IT support tickets and service requests in a timely and customer- focused manner.
Conduct end-user training sessions on IT-related topics.
Document and maintain accurate records of IT issues and solutions.
Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support in the banking sector.
Experience with desktop support, hardware troubleshooting, and software Installations.
Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network protocols
Familiarity with banking software and systems.
Strong understanding of security protocols and data protection.
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
