The Human Resources Manager is responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that align with the Group’s overall objectives. This position entails managing all aspects of HR management, including talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, training and development, compensation and rewards, and HR compliance. The Job holder will work with senior management to foster a culture of results, engagement, and innovation.

Develop and execute HR strategies that support the company’s business goals and objectives.
Provide strategic guidance to business units’ leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent management initiatives.
Performance management
Lead the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and succession planning.
Provide guidance to Business units’ heads on performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions when necessary.
Analyze performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Employee Training & Development
Identify training needs through performance evaluations, skills assessments, and employee feedback.
Design and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the Group.
Talent Acquisition
Manage the recruitment and selection process, ensuring the Group attracts and retains good talent across the business units.
Management Coordinate with business units’ heads to identify staffing needs and workforce planning initiatives.
Implement talent management programs to identify, develop, and retain high- potential employees.
Employee Relations and Engagement
Provide guidance and management on HR-related matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and employee grievances.
Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to promote a positive work environment and enhance employee morale.
Conduct regular employee feedback surveys and leverage insights to drive improvements in workplace culture and employee satisfaction.
HR compliance
Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures and practices to ensure alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Manage compliance with all relevant employment laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Maintain accurate HR records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements and best practice.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources management at a senior level, preferably in a Group structure with multiple businesses.
Proven team leadership and development capability, with exceptional communication skills and the personal integrity/gravitas required to successfully influence change at the highest levels.
A true self- starter with high levels of motivation/enthusiasm and the tenacity and resilience necessary to flourish in a fast-moving and constantly-evolving environment.
Familiarity with Uganda labor laws is a MUST
Experience with HRIS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
