Job Description
As a fully remote role, the HRIS Analyst ensures the functionality and integrity of the HRIS system, managing data analysis, system audits, and technical support. The analyst supports HR teams in benefits compliance, enhances system efficiency through regular assessments and upgrades, and serves as a liaison between HR and third-party software vendors. They also run detailed audits and ensure timely and accurate filings for various federal and state benefits regulations. The analyst plays a critical role in creating a reliable data environment to drive HR strategic decisions.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Manage and maintain HRIS system functionality, including customizations, upgrades, and integrations
Ensure system compliance with data privacy and security standards
Conduct regular data audits and develop audit reports to maintain HRIS integrity
Support benefits team in regulatory compliance and reporting (EEO-1, ACA, 401(k) testing, etc.)
Monitor and reconcile benefit enrollments and invoices
Provide technical support and guidance to HR staff
Partner with vendors for implementation, upgrades, and issue resolution
Generate reports and dashboards for HR departments and management
Maintain clear documentation and audit trails of data changes and reports
Recommend and implement process improvements and cost-saving measures
Respond to ad-hoc reporting and project support requests
Stay up to date with HRIS technology trends and best practices
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Information Technology, HR, or related field (Master’s preferred)
Minimum 3 years of experience in HR, project management, or HRIS-related roles
Strong understanding of benefits and compensation workflows is a plus
SHRM-CP certification is an advantage
Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS reporting
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
Strong communication skills—written and verbal
Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to collaborate across teams and with external vendors
