Lively Minds are looking to appoint an exceptional HR Trustee to advance the organisation through an exciting phase of growth and evolution.

  • Participating in quaterly trustee meetings : these take place remotely and last around 2 hours

  • Chair the Remuneration Committee: these will take place bi-annually remotely and will last around 2 hours each

  • Provide ad hoc guidance or support on technical HR issues (for example joining interview panels for senior hires, providing guidance on complex employee relations cases)

  • Supporting the organisation’s Head of HR on key HR policies including recruitment, eqaulities and localisation, pay and remuneration, and performance management.

  • The Trustee will also have the opportunity to visit our programmes in Ghana and Uganda.

  • Please note that this Trustee role does not attract any remuneration.

  • Is an experienced HR leader or COO with responsibility for the HR function. Preferably with NGO experience and experience of scaling.

  • Lives in sub–Saharan Africa. Ideally with networks across a number of different Sub-Saharan African countries that can support our expansion goals

  • Is passionate about community development and equity

  • Shares our organisational values

  • Is growth-minded and open to new ideas and ways of working.
