Job Description
The HR Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the efficient execution of HR administrative processes, from recruitment and onboarding to policy enforcement and HR reporting. The role involves maintaining employee records, coordinating training and audits, handling employee relations matters, and supporting HR projects. This position ensures compliance with labour laws and company policies while fostering a professional and supportive work environment.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Coordinate recruitment processes and psychometric assessments
Manage onboarding, including planning and conducting orientation
Act as first point of contact for HR queries and employee relations issues
Maintain employee files and HR information systems
Assist in budget preparation and compile monthly HR reports
Handle grievances, complaints, and disciplinary matters
Conduct background screenings and maintain up-to-date organizational charts
Update HR policies and procedures in line with legal requirements
Provide support during internal and external audits
Coordinate training activities and HR-related projects
Monitor and ensure compliance with labour legislation and company HR standards
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications:
Matric Certificate
National Diploma in Human Resource Management/Development or equivalent
Experience:
3–5 years in a Human Resources Officer role
Key Competencies:
In-depth knowledge of labour relations legislation
Sound understanding of HR best practices and the HR value chain
Excellent Microsoft Excel and administrative skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload
High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
