The HR Assistant will provide support to the HR Department with regard to the overall management of HR activities and services in Uganda , provide guidance to the development and monitoring of processes related to recruitment , compliance, training and development; as well as oversee administrative functions
He/ She will be reporting to the HR Business Partner.
The key responsibilities of the HR & Administration Officer will include:
HR & Administration matters at the branch level and increase staff productivity.
Collect and organize input on HR processes and policies and participate in the review and update of various systems, manuals, guidelines and tools.
HR data management including, update of the HR system and other HR data reporting.
Provide data analysis reports to support department decision making. This will include staff attendance, leave management, tracking timesheets etc.
Assist in Management of personnel files, management of staff contracts, including tracking of timebound contracts, probationary periods, short term/casuals/internship contracting and related communication to hiring managers.
Support in interpretation of HR policies, practices and procedures.
Support staff onboarding and offboarding.
Vehicle & staff movement – driver schedules.
Submit timely reports and prepare presentations/proposals as assigned

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in HR and Administration, Business or a related field.
At least 2 years’ experience HR Assistant
Proficient in a variety of computer software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
Exposure to labour laws and regulations.
