Job Description
Zonda Tec Ghana Limited is seeking experienced, safety-conscious heavy-duty vehicle drivers to join its Tema and Dzorwulu branch operations. The successful candidates will be responsible for operating multi-axle tipper trucks and trailers, delivering vehicles nationwide, and demonstrating vehicle capabilities to customers.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy-duty tipper trucks and trailers (manual transmission, multi-axle) on urban, highway, and off-road job sites.
- Execute customer test drives to demonstrate vehicle capabilities (tipping mechanism, braking, load stability).
- Deliver assembled vehicles from the Tema assembly plant to the Dzorwulu showroom or directly to customers nationwide.
- Maneuver vehicles in tight spaces (workshops, loading bays, construction sites).
- Conduct daily vehicle checks: engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid (tipper mechanism), tire pressure, brakes, lights, and coupling systems (for trailers).
- Report any mechanical defects or body damage immediately to the workshop team.
- Supervise loading to ensure weight distribution does not exceed Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW).
- Ensure proper use of tarpaulins, chains, and binders for load security.
- Operate the hydraulic tipping mechanism safely on level ground, avoiding overhead cables or soft edges.
- Adhere strictly to Ghana's road traffic regulations, axle load limits, and Zonda Tec's safety policies.
- Maintain a valid driving license with appropriate heavy-duty endorsements.
- Report any accidents, near misses, or traffic violations immediately.
