Applications are invited from suitable qualified persons to fill the underlisted vacant post that exist in the service of Mayuge District Local Government. Applications should be submitted in Triplicate on PSC 3(Revised 2008) to the Secretary District Service Commission PO Box 1317 MAYUGE not later than four weeks from the date of this advertisement.
Application forms can be obtained from Public Service Commission Office 2nd floor Farmers' parliamentary Avenue Kampala and/ or any of the District Service Commission Offices and MUST be filled in the applicants own handwriting with three (3) passport size photographs attached. Serving officers should route their applications through their supervisors who should be informed of the closing date to avoid any unnecessary delay.

The Health Educator is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating health education and promotion activities in the Mayuge District Local Government.
The Health Educator works closely with the District Health Officer, health workers, community leaders and other stakeholders to identify the health needs and priorities of the population and to design appropriate interventions to address them.
The Health Educator also monitors and reports on the progress and impact of the health education and promotion activities.

The Health Educator should have the following qualifications:
A diploma or degree in health education, public health, social sciences or related field from a recognized institution.
At least two years of relevant experience in health education and promotion, preferably in a rural setting.
Knowledge of the national and district health policies, guidelines and standards.
Skills in communication, facilitation, mobilization, advocacy and networking.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in English and local languages.
