  • Patient Care: Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses, physicians, or other healthcare professionals. This may include assisting with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance.

  • Vital Signs Monitoring: Measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse rate, temperature, and respiratory rate, and report any abnormal findings to the healthcare team.

  • Assisting with Procedures: Assist healthcare providers with medical procedures, treatments, and diagnostic tests, such as wound care, catheterization, specimen collection, and electrocardiography (ECG).

  • Medication Assistance: Administer medications under the direction of a registered nurse or physician, following established medication administration protocols and safety guidelines.

  • Patient Education: Provide health education and instructions to patients and their families on topics such as medication management, wound care, home care procedures, and disease prevention.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, care plans, progress notes, and other relevant documentation, in accordance with healthcare facility policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Infection Control: Follow standard precautions and infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections in healthcare settings. This includes proper hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and adherence to isolation precautions when necessary.

  • Transportation and Escort: Transport patients to and from various locations within the healthcare facility, such as treatment areas, diagnostic imaging departments, and rehabilitation services. Provide assistance and support to patients during transportation.

  • Emergency Response: Assist with emergency response activities, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), first aid, and emergency evacuation procedures, in accordance with healthcare facility policies and procedures.

  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including registered nurses, physicians, therapists, and ancillary staff, to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care.
