Providing legal advice and guidance to the management and board of directors on various issues such as contracts, compliance, governance, risk management, litigation, and regulatory affairs.
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents and agreements with clients, partners, suppliers, regulators, and other stakeholders.
Representing the company in courts, tribunals, arbitrations, mediations, and other dispute resolution mechanisms.
Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as best practices in the microfinance industry.
Managing and supervising the legal team and external counsel, as well as liaising with other departments and functions within the company.
Conducting legal research and analysis on emerging trends and developments in the microfinance sector, as well as providing training and awareness to staff and clients on relevant legal topics.
Performing any other duties as assigned by the management or board of directors.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor's degree and a professional certification a in related field.
Minimum experience of 3 years in the financial sector.
Knowledge of Computer applications is an added advantage.
