Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Hardware Technician at Coseke Uganda Limited located in Kampala. The Hardware Technician will be responsible for hardware installation, hardware support, troubleshooting, printer support, and providing technical support.

Installation and Setup
Hardware Installation:
Install and configure new computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, servers, and peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.).
Set up hardware systems and ensure they are connected to networks and other systems as required.
Software Installation:
Install necessary software and drivers on new hardware.
Ensure compatibility of software with hardware systems.
Maintenance and Repair
Preventive Maintenance:
Perform regular maintenance checks on hardware systems to prevent issues.
Clean and maintain hardware components to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshooting:
Diagnose hardware problems and determine the cause of malfunctions.
Repair or replace faulty hardware components such as motherboards, CPUs, RAM, hard drives, and power supplies.
Upgrades:
Upgrade hardware components to enhance system performance.
Advise on hardware upgrades based on user needs and technological advancements.
Technical Support
User Support:
Provide technical support to users experiencing hardware issues.
Respond to user inquiries and assist with hardware-related problems.
Remote Support:
Offer remote troubleshooting and support for hardware issues when on-site assistance is not possible.
Inventory Management
Inventory Tracking:
Maintain an inventory of hardware components and equipment.
Keep track of hardware usage, repairs, and replacements.
Procurement:
Assist in the procurement of new hardware based on organizational needs.
Evaluate and recommend hardware purchases to ensure compatibility and performance.

Skills
