Job Description
The successful candidate will conduct repairs and maintenance tasks across various properties, including minor plumbing, electrical fittings, painting, and general upkeep. The role requires maintaining tools, adhering to CPA standards, and being physically capable of working both indoors and outdoors, including at heights and with heavy items. The handyman is expected to deliver quality service that contributes to a well-maintained and safe living and working environment.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Perform minor plumbing and electrical repairs
Handle carpentry and general maintenance tasks (e.g., lock changes, door hinge repairs)
Conduct painting as required
Maintain building standards in line with CPA requirements
Ensure proper use and safekeeping of tools
Perform tasks indoors and outdoors, including work at heights and lifting heavy items

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications & Experience:
Basic literacy and numeracy
Tradesman certificate (advantageous)
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a handyman or general maintenance role
Skills & Knowledge:
Practical skills in plumbing, painting, carpentry, and electrical work
General DIY abilities (e.g., carpet repairs)
Basic Health & Safety awareness
Familiarity with using a range of hand and power tools
Personal Attributes:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Self-driven and able to work independently
Good team player with a cooperative attitude
Persistence and a strong sense of task completion
Rule-following and adherence to work regulations
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Enjoys structured and planned work
