Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services for people with disability in Uganda (CORSU)
To spearhead CORSU's fundraising efforts aimed at securing additional resources for program activities by identifying potential sources of additional funding, preparing, and submitting compelling funding proposals in response to Requests: for Applications (RFAs), as well as developing and implementing other innovative fundraising initiatives. The position holder will also support other activities in the department, such as overseeing project implementation.
Mapping out additional donors (including international Foundations) and establishing relationships with them
Impactful and compelling funding proposals prepared and submitted to potential donors in response to Requests for Applications or other opportunities.
Other funding initiatives developed, designed, and implemented successfully.
New funding secured for CORSU, while maintaining the existing funding partnerships.
Additional non-cash resources secured for CORSU.
Partnerships with the private sector enhanced. Oversight over funded projects to ensure achievement of project goals.
Excellent relationships maintained with partners
Master's degree in project planning and management; Public Health, Social Work, Economics, or another relevant field.
A post graduate training in proposal writing or fundraising is preferred where the first degree is dissimilar.
Experience
3 years' experience in Fundraising. Grants management, Proposal writing and managing donor funded projects. A proven track record of writing successful grant applications.
Experience in working in the NGO/Not-for- Profit sector. Proven track record of strategic planning, proposal writing and budgeting for institutional donors. (E.g., experience with EU or USAID funding). A proven track record working with research grants.
